Creative writing Year 4

Look at the picture above. Your task is to write a story to explain what has happened so far to get to this point. If your story is doing well and you have some great inspiration then it would be fantastic if you could finish the story too. Where do they end up? How does the main character get down?

I look forward to reading your ideas.

Class 4 homework due 05.04.19

Your task for homework this week is to imagine you have found yourself in the village pictured. Using only one paragraph can you start to describe how you are feeling and what you see as you look around? Remember the descriptions you wrote on Alma that included similes and adjectives to help the reader create a picture in their head. See if you can use the techniques of describing how your body is reacting rather than ‘I feel scared’. There will be prizes for the most effective descriptions. Good luck and I look forward to reading your responses.

Class 4 homework due 15.02.19

Your homework this week is about mobile phones. Should mobile phones be banned for children until they reach the age of 10? Do you agree? Do you disagree? What are the benefits of having a mobile phone? What are the disadvantages of having a mobile phone? Try to think of the argument from different sides E.g what do your parents think? What do your friends think?

I look forward to reading and sharing your response with the class on Friday.

Wanted!

Last week Class 4 created wanted posters based on Fantastic Mr Fox. Our challenge was to use as many descriptive phrases as possible to show how mean Mr Fox had been (from the farmers point of view). Excellent posters Class 4!
